Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): Mawatongla Anayah Yaden of The Combat Academy (TCA), Nagaland, won a gold medal in the Sub-Junior Under-47 kg category at the Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima.
The championship was conducted under the banner of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), according to a statement issued by the academy.
Anayah, who trains under coach D. Khuwoto Assummi as part of The Combat Academy's Kids Taekwondo Programme, secured the top podium finish after an impressive performance in her category.
The academy said Anayah was among the first students to enrol in its Kids Taekwondo Programme, which was launched for children below the age of 13.
Over the past year, she has displayed dedication, discipline and consistent improvement, culminating in her gold medal at the state championship, the statement added.
