The Entrepreneurs Associates (tEA) will be hosting the 3rd edition Run to Reforest (R2 Run) on October 25.
The event will be flagged off at 6:00 AM from High School Junction, Kohima via Secretariat and culminate at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima. This year’s event will also feature a Penalty Shootout alongside the Run.
R2 Run is a fundraising event under tEA’s flagship programme, Trees for Wealth (TfW), which envisions planting 3 billion trees by 2050.
The programme aims to enhance the livelihoods of tribal communities across Northeast India while encouraging and promoting community-driven climate action.
“Through R2 Run, we seek to raise awareness about environmental protection and encourage public participation in restoring our ecosystems,” according to Chunjanglu Gracy, R2 Run Committee, tEA.
In R2 Run event, the champion under 15 years & above category will get Rs. 10,000 while runner up will be awarded with Rs. 8000.
The champion under 11-14 years category will receive Rs. 3000 while Runner-up will pocket Rs. 2000.
The winner of below 10 years category will be awarded with Rs. 3000 while runner-up will get Rs. 2000.
The champion of Penalty Shootout will be awarded with Rs. 30,000 while runner-up will receive Rs. 20,000.
