Agape School, Kiphire today celebrated Teacher’s Day with students, teachers and well wishers at the school campus. Welcoming the gathering, the administrator of the school expressed gratitude to the teaching faculties for rendering selfless sacrifice in shaping the young minds. He said that the society today is faced with multiple problems and to prepare the child to face these challenges, it is the role of a teacher to take active role in making it possible.
Kitoka, who spoke on behalf of the teachers, encouraged the students not to give up on their dreams but pursue them so that they become successful in life. He also reminded the teachers to reflect and reason as they celebrate this day. Litsazi spoke on behalf of the students.
The other highlights of the day were special song by tiny tots, choreography, folk song, folk fusion, skit, dance etc. After the programme, the administrator along with teachers and students visited the District Hospital Kiphire and handed over Rs 25,000/- towards poor patient welfare fund in the name of Teachers Day 2017.
