Wokha, May 6 (MExN): As a solidarity gesture, Team Metamorphosis Wokha met the aggrieved SSA teachers at SDEO office here. A press release informed that the Team encouraged the teachers to be bold and strong in their fight for justice until their legitimate right is achieved. "The government has become so corrupted, but unfortunately, we are all responsible in electing our politicians. So, democracy in its real term is not applicable in Nagaland anymore as it has become by the people, of the politicians and for the politicians," stated the Team.
“We also should not resort to any form of violence but fight for our right in a peaceful way and if the situation demands we shall even go for hunger strike/ fast unto death and for which the government will be held fully responsible,” the Team asserted. “As and when the demand of the teachers is met we should also be sincere in our assigned duties.”
Further, the Team said, "If change is to come it has to be through us; the younger generation." It further questioned why the Centre was keeping quiet at this juncture when it already had firsthand knowledge.
