Tening, June 19 (MExN): The Tening Sub-Divisional Task Force (SDTF) on COVID-19 held a review meeting on June 19 at Tening Town Hall under the chairmanship of ADC and SDTF chairperson Rosietho Nguori.
The house deliberated and resolved to ramp up efforts to combat vaccine hesitancy and encourage vaccination through a dedicated team comprising of Administration and Medical department.
The team will undertake vaccination and sanitization campaign drives in villages where such hesitancy is prevalent effective immediately, a DIPR report stated.
MO AYUSH, CHC Tening, Dr Nuksung Jamir gave a brief highlight on the ongoing COVID-19 related activities in the Sub-Division including the current status of vaccination adding that, response for vaccination and turn out in Tening Town and adjacent village had been encouraging. However, he expressed concerns regarding the prevailing vaccine hesitancy in some far flung villages.
Random sampling and testing are ongoing and till date, no positive case has been detected in the Sub-Division, as reported by the Medical Officer.
The house also revised the timing of shops and bazar from 6:00 am till 2:00 pm as per the revised Government SOPs with strict enforcement of COVID-19 appropriate behavior.
The house also resolved to enforce roster system for village wise staggered visits to banks to ensure that there is no overcrowding in the bank vicinity. (See table)
