Tenyimis demand answers from KLO/KLA

Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): A fiercely livid statement from the Tenyimi People’s Organization today, has demanded “justifications” from the proscribed Kuki militant outfit KLO/KLA for the death of two Tenyimi citizens on October 23. Calling the KLO/KLA a “nomadic” band of terrorists, who “are surviving on generosity and hospitality” of others, the TPO has demanded clarifications from the outfit. The TPO said the KLO/KLA had claimed responsibility for burning the bus which took the lives of two Tenyimi citizens, one Robert Gonmie and a Ginthailu Gonmei on October 23. However, the TPO said, the group is silent on the murder of the two innocents.

“From the past experiences, this incident is not an exceptional one as our Tenyimi were often targeted by this nomadic Kuki organization instead of being grateful to the generosity and hospitality of the Tenyimi who allow them to shelter in their land for the past many years” the TPO stated. The Tenyimi organization also said these ‘guests’ have turned against their own hosts and ‘master’, even to the extend of taking several innocent lives as well as serving quit notices to several Tenyimi villages.

“Our innocent brother late Robert Gonmie and sister late Ginthailu Gonmei are but another victims of the lecherous act of the KLO/KLA of Kukis, merely just because they are Tenyimi. The TPO therefore, demand justifications from the KLO/KLA for their cowardly act in this incident” the TPO demanded.
