Tepfulomi village was formally inaugurated today by Nagaland’s Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu.
Tepfulomi was bifurcated from Khezhakeno village under Pfutsero Sub Division of Phek district. The state government has accorded the recognition of Tepfulomi village through a notification issued in 2021.
Speaking on the occasion, Kronu thanked Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio towards the recognition of this village when he (Kronu) put forward the matter for cabinet approval.
He also lauded the consensus decision of the people, which led to recognition of the village.
He also lauded the Village Recognition Committee for their efforts. The Village Recognition Committee comprises N Neilo Pulo Koza, Dr. Chelo Koza, Timikha Koza, Kodoulhou Mowo, Z Kepfelhou Koza and Kodolhou Sono.
Kronu maintained that Pfutsero area possesses immense potential for tourism industry and called upon the people to put a united effort to grab the opportunity.
Earlier, Rev Bulechü Koza offered the dedicatory prayer.
Wokha DRDA Pfükrulhou Koza thanked all the neighbouring villages for giving ‘No Objection Certificate’ towards the recognition of Tepfulomi village.
Khezhakeno Village Council chairman D Lhouchinyi shared greetings while brief history of Tepfulomi Village was given by N Neilo Pulo Koza, convenor, Village Recognition Committee.
The programme was chaired by Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland.
Khezhakeno Baptist Church pastor M Khupo Koza and CRC Khezhakeno Lower pastor T Kodonyi Ritse prayed for the programme.
Khezhakeno Baptist Church (Youth) and Tepfulomi village presented folk song and welcome song respectively.
