Kevitho Nightwing Kera: How many of you are an atheist? What made you an atheist or why are you an atheist? Mind you am not talking about an irreligious person; there is a big difference between an irreligious person and an atheist. An atheist as in someone who does not believe in the existence of God. We would like to hear your side of the story without being judgmental.
Benrilo Kikon: I am sure the post is not about comparison of religions. The concerned person is asking an existential question, which defines our very being. I am aware that there are some who are atheists and it will be interesting to know their rationale behind it. There is always space for a healthy dialogue!
Selie Visa: Existence of God is to be accepted by faith. But this does not mean there is no proofs about his existence. Believers can also be grateful to modern science and scientists. Studies and researches of life forms, the DNA, the cosmos, etc are revealing the presence of complex yet systematic designs from the smallest particles to largest galaxies known to man. The limitless universe and the intricate designs are convincing many sceptics that a supernatural divine creator and designer does exist.
Parhai Kothil: I am not afraid that God will punish me. I am just afraid of people who are intolerant of the beliefs of other people. I am not afraid of Gods punishment. Rather I am afraid of people who punish atheists.
John Keno Lngks: Can see too many obsessed religious people here and it seems really funny to see all their views which is not theirs actually but taught and brainwashed since their childhood I guess and the post is about God not about only Christianity. Jesus is not the only God believed by people in this world. There are many religions with different views and principles. And do you really think God build all these modern scientific studies and technical things we are using and studying about today. Why don't we study about bible or Quran etc. Instead of science in our schools and colleges then? And it's really funny when some people always bring out phrases and teachings from bibles. How can a mere book(That too written and modified by some person) be the principle of God and dictate the life of others.
Since childhood we heard that God is merciful, helpful not forceful but seeing the comments or intensity of some obsessed religious fanatics even god if he is there, will be ashamed. And you don't have any rights to dictate others people mentality! According to religious beliefs if God is there he will surely make the non believer have faith in him. Why are some people so trying to be a dictator. Type of person even though they will say they are against bullying and is a God fearing person. But action of whose contradicts. If you are so obsessed about God why are you guys studying and believing in science? Go study some religious principle which is obviously written by some person like you. Don't go to hospitals or doctors. Go fast and pray let's see if you get any better or can survive. Don't you know religious fanatics and obsessed people killed many of scientists in the past assuming of doing witchcraft. If every people in this world were religious obsessed till date we won't be using any of the modern equipments or materials and even not be chatting each other on facebook. We would be still fighting over religious dominance over one another living like sh*ts where the higher religious authorities will be the richest and the irreligious people outcast or killed. And moreover before Christianity or any other religion came into our areas how did we survive without having any religion? Were all of our forefathers sent into hell on judgement day? Just because they didn't believe in any god or Jesus.
I know most of the people are afraid of getting outcast by their society or join religion fearing the adverse bad impacts of not believing in god. But isn't it total opposite of how God works. God is not a tyrant and forceful but love everyone even his enemies. And only the devil is said to bring fear among the heart of people not god. But it seems otherwise nowadays people start joining religious cults or start believing in faiths due to fear but not love for God!
By the way, I won't say I am an atheist but call me an irreligious person or the type who believe in just god(loving not fearing with no tag name Just god or a protector showing path.) religions had caused enough bad impact on this world. Let's stop igniting it again.
Peter Emem: Man can neither prove nor disprove God's existence. Human beings are bounded by 'Space and Time', beyond that we know nothing. Our brain won't stop but ask who created the creator, because we are so use to seeing things coming up one after another in times we tend to turn and look back as to what it is like at the beginning of time and never find it because it stop there ‘TIME’, that’s our limit.
What makes a man an atheist? Because he reads and thinks more than most of us who believes blindly: by blind believers I mean who are Christian just because they are born in Christian family, who are Hindus because they are born in Hindu family and the list goes on. Mark my word, if a true atheist ever becomes a theist, he/she will be much more religious and preach better than most of us because I believe only a highly learned person could be an atheist.
This is my logic for Atheist: If you remain an atheist and after this life is over, you find that there is a God, you might be in great danger. If you remain an atheist and after this life is over, you find nothing, you are safe.
For Theist: If you are a theist and live a religious life and after-life you find that there is a God, there is much to celebrate. if you remain a theist and after this life is over, you find nothing, you are still safe.
The Choice is yours.
To me, God is not omnipresent, God is not omnipotent and God is not Omniscience, Because HE is MUCH MORE than that. To define God is to limit HIM, The human mind can never fathom God’s True Identity.
Sit alone, in an open space at night, look up for hours, the Clear Sky with Moon and Countless Stars, knowing each Star is the size of our Sun, you will see the Glory of GOD.
