Dishum dishum! the message stated. The one I got from a friend last Sunday afternoon. At that time, he was apparently preparing himself to speak at a service that evening. Of course I did not know until he said so. I was thinking of attending the same service unless it was for the headache I had. Anyway, I wouldn’t miss to hear what he had to share. I messaged him back saying that if I feel any better I would definitely come.
Come four o’clock, the service time, the headache was still there so I did not go. I watched TV instead! Then I realized I was watching TV even if I had a headache! After half an hour of TV and wondering what my friend could be sharing at the service, I decided to visit my grandparents who live just near by.
I trotted to their house and gave a big smile; grandma and pa were in the balcony. Grandpa doing his usual evening exercise and grandma watching over him least he falls. Sweet couple these two!! The three of us went inside because the mosquitoes were creating quite a swarm of deadly blood sucking killers. Grandpa laid on his bed while grandma lovingly put the blanket over him. After some minutes of my silly loud chattering (loud because grandpa is hard of hearing) grandma skillfully overtook me and made me shut up!!(Teehee)
She then told me her story; how she ‘REALLY’ met Christ. It’s a rather long story so I am not putting it here. After she finished I asked grandpa his story too. How he “REALLY’ met Christ. Grandpa smiled sincerely as he started to narrate me the whole thing. After more than an hour I was back home where mom and dad were impatiently waiting for me for supper.*Grin*
Curiosity kills the cat! I was still wondering what my friend shared at the service. The one I missed. I am the cat here so before curiosity killed me I called him up and asked what he spoke about. He told me that he spoke about ‘void’, the emptiness we all have in our live which only God can fill. No one else! Salvation that come only through God.
Heck! Do you know that my grandma and pa said the same thing to me?? The same thing my friend spoke about??? The emptiness which only God can fill!!!?? Its funny sometimes that even when you lie God still makes sure you get the best of Him! Now, you must be wondering what lie!! Let me tell you, the reason I missed church was either because of the big zit on my chin or the headache I made-up!! Sure sure, zits are painful and they can give quite a headache sometimes! Still, my reason is not justified! Still, I am not looking to be justified:) I am just really amazed the way God Loves and Gives.
Inspite of my zit headache, (grin*) God sure caught me on this; that even if I missed my friends sharing at the service, He used my grandparents to convey the same message! I am just so happy:)
And from now onwards, no more zit headaches!! Amen
