The Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) vehemently refutes the Western Yimchungrü Hoho’s rejoinder that appeared in the Nagaland Post dated 13/3/2011.
The Tikhir Tribal Council’s Press statement which appeared in the Nagaland Post dated 9/3/2011 was only the feed back to Western Yimchungrü Hoho’s statement wherein Tikhir Tribe was mentioned as their home –dialect during Yimchungrü Women Organisation (YWO)’s rally against the formation of Saramati Region.
The previous statement of the Tikhir Tribal Council published on March 9 was issued by President, TTC Topan. K Tikhir and Executive Council Chairman Dioto after a consultation with all the TTC official in the interest of the Tikhir general populace. The same statement was not a “Misguiding” or an “Assassination” of good character of any member of Western Yimchungrü Hoho, as claimed by the WYH. But Tikhir Tribal Council was compelled to react against Mr. PKF Tochu who by birth is a Tikhir and a citizen of Thunoknyu Village in Tuensang district for misquoting Tikhir’s identity by acting himself as the President of Western Yimchungrü Hoho.
The Tikhir Tribal Council informs Yimchungrü Hoho that defending Mr. Tochu who sold his identity in lieu of money and other materials comforts will only create unwanted issues. In this regard, if Western Yimchungrü Hoho wishes to prove the inns and outs of his evil designs towards his Tikhir brothers then the Tikhir Tribal Council will screen out all his anti – Tikhir activities before the Naga society in black and white.
The Tikhir Tribal Council would also like to clarify that since its inception it did not use any “explosive articles” either in the press or in any discussions. Whereas, it is the Yimchungrüs who used what they called “explosive articles” both in the media as well as in discussions. One must clean the dirt of one’s eye instead of trying to clean other’s eye.
Furthermore, the Tikhir Tribal Council reminds Western Yimchungrü Hoho that TTC is ever ready to hold discussion or talk be it round table or whatsoever. But having said this, the Western Yimchungrü Hoho is not the appropriate organization for holding any discussion with the Tikhir Tribal Council.
Lastly, the Tikhir Tribal Council would like to inform the Western Yimchungrü Hoho that, instead of demanding apologies from the TTC President Topan. K Tikhir and its Executive Chairman Dioto within one week through local medias, the Western Yimchungrü Hoho should tender their apology to the President TTC, Executive Chairman and to all the Tikhir public within one week from the date of the issue of this statement for allegedly mentioning Tikhir as their home – dialect along with Langa, Chirr, Makory, Longphurr etc in the their various statement published on 27th March 2011.
