“Time to be realistic”: GPRN

There is time for everything, the Nagas at this present crucial juncture need to ponder very seriously and to be realistic. The GPRN/NSCN feels that it is not the right time to point finger to one another, alleging and counter alleging one another, issuing unnecessary inflammatory statements provoking one another but to put our heads together in unison and constructively forge out common firm ground to achieved acceptable and honourable solution to our protracted political imbroglio.

Each individual has grown-up in different set of circumstances and environment and acquired different ideology and experiences atypical to others achievements or successes, yet a true patriotic leader respect, understand and appreciate the views, principles and achievements of others always long for genuine opinions of others having profound concern, which in return help and lighten up one another’s burden. A leader possessing a real patriotism quality will seek to reach the best their capacity in whatever field. They seek perfection and do not hesitate to burrow or share views.

The recent press statements issued in the name of one Monsaze, Lainong Region Chairman NSCN (K) on 30th April 2012 in Nagaland Post under the caption “A letter to ‘lost leader’ ‘Gen.’ Khole” and another one by name of one O. Chingmak Chang, Deputy Kilonser cum Chairman Chang Region NSCN(K) on  10th May 2012 in Nagaland Post under the caption “A letter to former Ato Kilonser (Khaplang leadership)” was dismissed and termed as “false and baseless” by their own contemporaries.

A leader who shies away awkwardly from mainstream, hiding behind the shadow of Khaplang and not disclosing his real identity but frequently issuing ugly press statements on others name must be someone who is outcast from civilized society with no proper identity and his existence as nomads with no proper address. Simply pointing fingers unjustly without perception on others challenging the integrity of individual, conveying cunning and sarcastic comments on others can lead you nowhere but rather demean and alienate yourself far away from civilized Naga society.

With regards to the speech of our Hon’ble Ato Kilonser during Tuluni festival in Zunheboto where NSCN (K) allege that “our target not for sovereignty but trying for alternative arrangement” it is for your kind information that a person who attend the Tuluni festival may not be pure Sumi but adopted son of illegal immigrants, it is so unfortunate and we feel pity for him because he does not have a capacity to understand Sumi dialect properly. Let me explain it to you let the truth prevails. Since the killing amongst faction was at the peak at that time having killed so many Nagas by the Nagas our leader express his view that killing must stop at any cost and said that “If killing is to be continued for sovereignty it is better give up the idea struggling for sovereignty” because by the time Nagas achieved sovereignty, Nagas will almost kill each other. So, is it not better to give up sovereignty before the Nagas perishes?

It is time that all Nagas who want peace must support all efforts at different levels. The leaders who do not respect others hard work and always stick to their right only and constantly seeks the attention by demands makes them not good enough to other people. ‘stop finding others fault and you will not be judge for others will treat us as we treat them’ what measure used in judging others will be used to measure how you are judged and why worry about a speck in your brothers eyes when you have a log in your own. First get rid of log from your eyes, then perhaps you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your brother’s eye.

It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us that, from those honoured pioneers deeds we take increased devotion to our sacred cause that we are here highly resolved that those sacrifices shall not have died in vain- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom and that Government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the Earth.
