At this crucial time when Indo- Naga issue has reached a point of either to come to an honorable settlement with a true democratic frame work or to go back to the bloodbath once again. Regretfully at this difficult time, our Naga national workers choose to fight among themselves. It would be a grave mistake to let these fratricidal killings among our own people, which is nothing but continuous defeat at the hands of our adversaries and self-destruction.
Therefore, this senseless fight that this hard earned cease fire and peace process be used judiciously towards attainment of a meaningful outcome. Cease-fire and peace and settlement is not wanted only by a section of Nagas, hence any efforts towards this should be for all the Nagas everywhere and for all time till Nagas come to a final settlement with India. Exclusiveness often bear narrow understanding and may lead to unforeseen danger as experienced during the 1964 Indo- Naga cease fire time, where the government of India was able to segment the Nagas. When some national workers were busy negotiating with the government of India, a section fell under the trap of the design of India. Ultimately, forming the revolutionary government of Nagaland, that had abated the Naga struggle for a long time.
Efforts towards realization of our goal are the need of the hour, where each and every sensible Naga must come forward with clear conscience. It is also time for the Nagas to differentiate between the sheep and the wolf in the sheep skin. Time to define each and every citizen’s role towards our nations call. A facilitator cannot be a negotiator, nor an anti-Naga be a Naga patriot. It is time to wake up, time to stand for the truth come what may.
