Through this column I would like to express our gratitude to Minister for Planning and Urban Development Dr. Shürhozelie Lietsetsu, CTP Kent Keditsu, Architect cum Nodal officer Arenla Kichu and the entire staff of the planning department for showing their most concern for this colony which is categorized under slum areas. Today, we the residence of this colony are over whelmed to see the development activities that is taking place with funds allocation from the central Government through NSDP and the entire credit goes to the DAN Government for its active implementation. It would be incomplete if we fail to highlight the developmental works that is taking place. Today, the colony boast of two community latrines with three chambers each, 80% of the drainage has been constructed with concrete cemented finishing, all major footsteps has been repaired with concrete finishing and footsteps railing has been erected, the footstep to Panchayat hall has been constructed with steps railing and a beautiful welcome gate is to be erected with tiles finishing, two community wells are under construction and the footpath of BOC area along the NH 39 has also been repaired. Further the moral support of the residence is also very encouraging. With this active participation of every individual we can developed and beautify this colony in a more unique way and the prior importance given by the state government for this colony is the foremost step. We can also set a model to others by upgrading this slum like area into a well planned colony with a healthy and hygienic environment. The suggestion of the NGO’s is also a welcome step where people are still not aware of living a hygienic lifestyle.
Our humble request to the concerned authority is to give more importance to this colony by sanctioning adequate funds in the days ahead so that more development takes place and be an eye opener for the others to see. We extend our full appreciation in the qualities and the leadership of the DAN development government which has a bright future and still miles to go. “WE HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL”. Thank you.
