Timer bowls 'googly' catching students caught off guard as NBSE declares results early

In an unexpected twist to the result schedule, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on Wednesday declared the provisional HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2026 results a day earlier than previously announced.

The Board had earlier notified that the results would be declared on April 24. However, in a fresh notification issued on April 23, it stated that the results would instead be declared in the afternoon of April 23.

According to NBSE, the change was necessitated due to a “technical problem related to the timer.”

The revised timing caught many students and parents off guard, with the final day of waiting suddenly cut short.

NBSE clarified that the date for collection of documents would remain unchanged as notified earlier on April 18. It also informed that provisional marksheets on the website would be made available on April 24.
