DIMAPUR, JANUARY 15 (MExN): The Naga Blog (TNB)Scholar Award with the theme ‘Promote Local Entrepreneurs to Support Local Scholars’ was presented today through an online meet to technical diploma toppers:
The toppers include Chemewe Akami (Civil Engineering), Apfhenuo Mezhier (Fashion Design and Apparel Production), Epibeni Kikon (Electronics and Communication Engg), Bendangyanger Jamir (Computer Science), Hiwe Wetsah (Computer Engineering), Che-u Akami (Electrical and Electronics), and Khenitoli (Mechanical Engineering).
The online meet was chaired by Yanpvuo Kikon while TNB admin Atsung Imchen joined in from Paris, France and gave a short motivational talk on how despite being from Arts background one can become a Software Engineer & work for one of the world’s top tech company Accenture in France.
Admin Krocha Nk gave the vote of thanks and encouraged the students to give their best for society. Rs 5000 and certificate was given to each topper in diploma (Technical) from Nagaland.
The cover photo space of one of the oldest Nagaland based Facebook groups, The Naga Blog (since 2007), is given out to advertise and promote local entrepreneurs and their businesses at Rs 500 per week.
This amount is collected and awarded to toppers of diploma engineering students from Nagaland to encourage and promote technical education among Naga youths. A total amount of Rs 45,000 was raised from TNB online ads wherein Rs 35,000 was given out to the scholars and Rs10,000 kept as balance.
A press release from The Naga Blog thanked local entrepreneurs for choosing to advertise and support local scholars to help them pursue their educational aspirations.
