Churches in Dimapur have come united and alive as they prepare for the ‘Will Graham-Celebration of Peace’ scheduled to be held every evening at 3:30 pm from February 10 to 12 at Dimapur District Sports Council Ground, Dimapur. This historic Celebration of Peace is hosted by the Baptist Dimapur Pastors’ Fellowship (BPFD) in collaboration with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). Grammy Award winner Mark Christian will be the special music artist for the programme.
Since 1950, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) Crusades have spanned the globe with one purpose-to proclaim God’s love to people who needs Jesus Christ. Today, Franklin Graham Festivals and Will Graham celebrations continue this life-changing mission.
BPFD President, Rev. Dr. Weyiete Lohe has informed that all the 60 Baptist Churches are sincerely involving in a 240 Hours Chain of Prayer for Celebration of Peace from February 1to 10, 2012 for the success and meaningful Celebration of Peace “to heal the broken spirit of peace and to build the peaceful nation of our land.”
The organizing committee has invited all the church groups and the public to attend this great event and receive the blessing. In connection to this, DPFD, organizing committee, volunteers, counselors, praise & worship team will be having fellowship with Dr. Will Graham and his team on February 10, 11:00 AM at DABA, Duncan, Dimapur.
Meanwhile, the Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF) while congratulating the Dimapur Pastors’ Fellowship expressed hope that “this celebration of Peace would bring forth the much needed restoration of peace with our Almighty God, which is the need of the hour, to bring peace to our land and to live in peace with our fellow beings. It is the prayer of the KBPF that God will fulfill His grand purpose for this celebration and in the days to come,” said KBPF, joint secretary, Wepre Mero.
During the three days celebration, worship service will be held everyday from 3:30 pm with the team from DABA Youth Ministry leading the praise and worship. On Saturday, Christian music band ‘Divine Connection’ will be also ministering in the service through songs. Bus services will be provided to all the colonies.
