TOLIC Dimapur reviews Hindi implementation

Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): The second bi-annual meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Dimapur, was held at the Assam Rifles Training Centre & School in Shokhuvi on August 28.

Chaired by Brigadier C S Pathania, VSM, the meeting saw participation from 23 members representing various Central Government offices, banks, and public sector undertakings located in Dimapur.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Colonel Rajesh Katoch, Secretary of TOLIC, Dimapur. This was followed by a detailed briefing on the meeting’s agenda by Parmod Kumar Rathore, Hindi Translator, Grade-II, of ARTC & S.

Members presented feedback on the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in official work within their respective offices.

Assessing the progress of Hindi implementation in Central Government offices in Dimapur, Brigadier Pathania stressed the importance of progressively increasing the use of Hindi. He urged all members to diligently implement policies issued by the Government of India regarding the official language. He emphasized that adoption should be driven by incentive and inspiration, in line with official guidelines.

Brigadier Pathania also underscored the importance of attendance by all TOLIC members to enhance the effectiveness of the meetings.

During the event, trophies and shields were awarded to offices that secured first, second, and third positions for their significant role in implementing official language Hindi. The meeting concluded after gathering valuable suggestions and feedback, which were addressed by the chairperson, followed by a vote of thanks.
