Kohima, September 11 (MExN): The Department of Power, Government of Nagaland, through the Kohima Transmission Division, has announced a scheduled vegetation clearance and maintenance programme for 33kV transmission lines starting September 14 to October 1, aimed at preventing unwanted disruptions and ensuring a stable power supply.
According to a press release issued by Executive Engineer Er. Namheu Khate Zelaing, total power shutdowns will be implemented in various areas daily from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM to facilitate the execution of the maintenance work.
The shutdown schedule and affected areas include:
September 14: The 33kV RESS - IG - NU feeder will affect the NU Meriema area, IG Stadium Area, and Thizama Area.
September 15: The 33kV IG - Sect - Keyake - Lerie feeder will affect the NU Meriema area, IG Stadium Area, Thizama Area, parts of Kohima Village, Rusoma village, Chedema Village, Lerie Colony, and parts of the Southern Angami Area.
September 16: The 33kV RESS - Lerie - Jakhama feeder will affect Lerie Colony and parts of the Southern Angami Area.
September 17–18: The 33kV RESS - Zubza (AP1 & Lalmati Feeders) will affect the Lalmati area, Zubza areas, and Duilumroi SHP.
September 19: The 33kV Zubza - Lalmati feeder will impact the Lalmati and Zubza areas.
September 21–22: The 33kV Zubza - Duilimroi feeder will affect Duilumroi SHP.
September 23–24: The 33kV RESS Kohima - Chakhabama feeder will affect parts of the Southern Angami Area and Chozouba Area.
September 25: The 33kV NU - Chiephobozou feeder will impact parts of the Northern Angami Area.
September 26–28: The 33kV Chiephobozou- Chiethu & New Terogonyu feeder will affect Chiethu, Botsa Area, and Pghuboto Area.
September 29: The 10th Mile - Zhadima Ss feeder will affect the Zhadima Area.
September 30: The 33kV Zhadima - Tsusunyu feeder will affect the Zhadima Area.
October 1: The 33kV Zhadima Village - Viphoma feeder will impact the Zhadima Area.
The Power Department has appealed to all consumers and the public in the affected regions to cooperate and bear with the inevitable inconveniences during the shutdown periods.
