Tovihoto fetes Dimapur for NBSE results

MLA & Advisor for Department of Power, Nagaland, H Tovihoto Ayemi heaped praises on the students and educational institutions of Dimapur district for securing majority of the top positions in the state during the recently declared HSLC & HSSLC NBSE results 2021.

It may be mentioned that out of the total 124 toppers in the state in both the HSLC & HSSLC results, Dimapur alone bagged 73 positions including 43 in HSLC and 30 in HSSLC.

Speaking during a felicitation programme for Bengali students’ achievers organized by Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union at St Mary’s Montessori Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on August 29, Special Guest, Tovihoto expressed delight to learn about the academic excellence from the students of Dimapur. He also credited the achievement to the teachers, educational institutions and parents.

With such impressive results from Dimapur, the Advisor said Dimapur could also become a centre of academic excellence. “However, with rapid progress and developments in all fields, we should also learn to adapt with the changes and have a competitive mindset not only within the state but with fellow students from the region and nation too,” he encouraged the students.

He urged the students not to waste time but to remain focused in their goal accompanied with hard work and perseverance. “Your teachers and parents are there to guide but it is you who have to walk the path to achieve success,” he added.

Tovihoto told the students that there were many milestones ahead of them and that the current success was the start of many important milestones to cover in the future. Tovihoto said there was no doubt in his mind about the students from Bengali community joining a galaxy of top leaders of the state and nation in the state.

During the programme, short speeches were also delivered by guest of honour, Kegwayhun Tep, NSF President; representative of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union; KK Paul, President, Bengali Samaj & Chief Advisor DBSU.
Earlier, the special guest felicitated Bengali student rank holders from Dimapur.
