Kohima, May 15 (MExN): In a step toward bridging the gap between education and employment in Nagaland, Tovra Works and Dapfhütsumia Student Union (DSU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formalizing a partnership that puts career-ready skill training directly in the hands of Nagaland’s young people.

The agreement, signed in Kohima, marks a shared commitment from both organizations to ensure that “no young person in the Dapfhütsumia community is left without a clear path forward after completing their education.”

Partnership on one shared belief
For too long, thousands of young men and women across Nagaland have completed their schooling or graduation only to find themselves without direction, without income, and without opportunity.

Not because of a lack of talent. Not because of a lack of ambition. But because the right doors were never opened for them.

Through this partnership, the Dapfhütsumia Student Union will serve as a trusted community bridge, connecting its student network with Tovra Works' professional training programs in culinary arts and hospitality.

Together, the two organizations will actively reach unemployed and underemployed youth across the Dapfhütsumia area and surrounding regions, providing them with a credible, structured, and financially accessible path into professional careers.

Training that leads to employment
Tovra Works currently offers three professional programs in affiliation with Atithi Virksha Shikska (AVS) (THSC-certified), in collaboration with IDAN and NSEDM: Global Culinary Fellowship (Hot Kitchen), Global Culinary Fellowship (Bakery and Patisserie), and Short-Term Hospitality and Hotel Operations. Graduates are placed with leading hotel brands including Taj, ITC, Marriott, and Novotel.

Tovra Works is a Kohima-based multi-skill career training brand dedicated to creating professional pathways for unemployed youth from Northeast India.

The name TOVRA stands or Talent, Opportunity, Vision, Resilience, and Ability. Operating in affiliation with AVS (THSC-certified) and in collaboration with IDAN and NSEDM, Tovra Works is committed to becoming Nagaland’s most trusted homegrown training institution.
