Kohima, July 31 (MExN): Ahead of the Dr T Ao Trophy 24th Inter-District Football Championship 2025, scheduled to be held from August 1 to 15 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima, the Kohima Police has issued a traffic advisory outlining detailed arrangements for parking and vehicular movement during the event.

According to the advisory issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Kohima, the following protocols will be enforced to ensure orderly conduct and smooth traffic flow throughout the championship period.

For entry and exit, Gate No. 1 has been reserved exclusively for vehicles of VIPs, officials, and players. These vehicles must be parked only in their designated parking area within the venue. Further, shuttle buses transporting players will proceed to park near Hall-A after dropping off the players, the advisory stated.

Gate No. 2 will be used for all vehicles of the general public and other attendees, for both entry and exit. These vehicles are to be parked exclusively at the designated Hockey Ground parking area.

In order to facilitate public transport, the police informed that a dedicated shuttle bus service (city bus) will operate between High School Junction and IG Stadium. These shuttle buses will enter and exit through Gate No. 2 and park near Hall-A.

The advisory also made it clear that designated parking areas have been assigned for all attendees, and that no parking is permitted along the National Highway (NH). It warned that any unattended vehicle found parked on the NH will be towed immediately, with all towing charges borne by the vehicle owner.
