At the request of the Government of Nagaland to the Govt of Delhi to bring back the stranded people of Nagaland from Delhi, a Super Express Special train - the Delhi-Dimapur Shramik Special was provided by the Delhi Division of the NFR Indian Railways which brought back 582 passengers on Tuesday morning the 16th of June 2020 covering a distance of 2147 kilometer from Delhi to Dimapur.


The journey could not have been possible without the involvement of the officials and the staff of Nagaland House in Delhi, Elders of the Naga community in Delhi, the DAAT COVID Relief Committee, the various Naga student bodies and 'individuals' who worked tirelessly behind the scene.


The Naga Elders in Delhi also arranged food hampers for the journey with the generous contribution of the various Naga Tribal Units and individuals. At the request of the Naga Elders, the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Managing Committee also generously provided fresh cooked lunch for the entire community  during the medical screening at Ambedkar Stadium Delhi, on the day of the journey. The Delhi Government, Delhi Police, NDMC and DDA facilitated the medical screening and identification of the passengers and also provided packed dinner for the first day of their journey. The Railway Protection Force provided security in the train while the Government Railway Police of Lucknow and Patna Division ensured adequate security arrangement within its jurisdiction.
