Training on bamboo furniture making concludes

Dimapur: An intensive training on bamboo furniture making was conducted from March 18 to April 2 at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, Dimapur. The valedictory function for this training was held here today, which was attended by all the fourteen trainees and the resource persons Toshi and Imli.

The function was presided over by Kevin Solo, Member, NBDA and Alemba Longkumer, Member, NBDA was the guest of honour. Distribution of certificates and impartation of technical knowledge on bamboo enterprise were the highlights of the function. This training was organised by Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency as a follow-up of the Government Job Mela which was held last year at the Agri Expo site, Dimapur.

Dr. Tolto Metha, Team Member, NBDA in a press release stated, it is to note that, the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency, besides conducting trainings at regular intervals, also thrives to further promote bamboo entrepreneurs/artisans by establishing market linkages for them and giving technical assistance on value addition for their finished products.
