Kohima, October 22 (DIPR): Training of doctors on disability, rehabilitation, assessment/certification under ADI scheme is being held at the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Conference Hall Kohima. It was jointly organised by National Institute of Orthopedically Handicapped Kolkata and Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Nagaland. The speaker Director NIOH, Dr. Ratnesh Kumar said that in Nagaland there are around twenty eight thousand disabilities and the government has a scheme to assist the needy disabled persons in procuring aids and appliance that can promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation by reducing the effects of disabilities and enhance their economic potential.
