Phek, October 8 (MExN): The Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN) in collaboration with the Medical Department Phek conducted training for Health Care Workers on Routine Immunization at CMO conference hall, Phek on October 7. 

The participants were ANMs from all the Health Units under Phek Sadar, Anganwadi Workers of Phek Town, ISRN staff and NHM staff, the CMO office Phek stated in a press release. 

As Routine Immunization has been one of the most significant public health achievements, leading to the control and even eradication of many deadly diseases the need to orient the health workers to mobilize the community has become a priority. With this aim the ISRN and medical department has organised a training programme for health workers.

The strategy on community mobilization was covered by Azenuo Mere DCM, Overview on Routine Immunization by Dr Pewezo Khalo DPO RCH/UIP, Tracking of Missed doses by Sedeu Rupreo DPM NHM and Re-Orientation on U-WIN entry by Zuvetho VCCM.

The participants were requested to make use of different platforms for mobilizing the community on the importance and benefits of immunizing the children. Also reminded that children are been vaccinated against 13 diseases. Inorder to vaccinate all the children convergence from different department is needed to achieve the goals.

DPM also stated that missed doses of the children can be track through RCH register, ANMOL Portal, U-WIN and MCP card.
The training programme was chaired by ZHONO Shijoh ORW ISRN while the welcome address and introduction was delivered by District Coordinator ISRN.
