Kohima, May 2 (MExN): The District Agriculture office Kohima has completed first phase sensitization training on method of SRI practices under NFSM for the Southern Zone. The last training programme was held on April 25 at Mitelephe village. Seyievonuo AOII chaired the meeting and it begun with a prayer by Pastor Zachütuo Mitelephe Village. The resource person Kekhrieletuo Yhome gave a power point presentation about the steps to be followed from seeds selection to Crop harvesting. The field pictures of successful SRI farmers’ during the last two three years were shown to the farmers. Farmers and staffs had a meaningful interaction during the training. The sensitization training will be held in the western as well as the northern zone after which on field practical training on the methodology of SRI will be taken up in the selected clusters. This was stated in a press release issued by Kohima, District Agriculture Officer.
