Mokokchung, March 25 (MExN): Training on NCD programme was held at the conference hall, CMO office Mokokchung on March 25 with Dr Alemwabang Aier, Jt Director & SNO NCD, Thejakhrietuo, DEO, State NCD Cell from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima and Dr Limanaro DPO (UIP&RCH), Mokokchung as resource person.

In the welcome address, Dr Sentizungla Marina Yaden, CMO Mokokchung called upon the participants to learn from the training and implement it at their posting place: thus, rendering services to the community, stated a press release received here.

Dr Alemwabang Aier in his presentation stated that population-based NCD screening is a new initiative under National programme for prevention and control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease and stroke (NP-NCD) and to screen everyone in the community who are 30 years of age and above for Hypertension, Diabetes and three cancers (Oral, breast, cervix). He also shared on the foundation of NP-NCD-PBS (CBAC), NCD-app/portal continuum of care, PBS strategy and screening Hypertension,  Diabetes, oral, breast and cervical cancer.

The participants were also trained on hands-on-training on NCD portal mapping and issues discourse and action and community based assessment checklist format and registration in the family folder and use of NCD app.

The training was attended by MOs, Staff Nurse, CHOs, ANMs and DPMU staff.
