Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): In view of the rise in prices of petroleum products and other related charges over the previous two years so as to ensure uninterrupted flow of essential commodities in the interest of public, the transportation rates have been revised. This was informed in an order issued by the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner N Hushili Sema, IAS.
The purpose of fixing these town area limits is exclusively for fixation of town area truck hire charge only and should not be taken for any other purpose without permission from the authority. If further necessity arises in future for fixation/re-fixation of truck hire charges, no organisation will be allowed to do so independently but to bring id immediately to the notice of the authority for the needful.
Accordingly, essential commodities and other goods i.e. transported from Railway Siding/FCI godowns to various locations and godowns within town area will be charged as follows:
(a) Rs. 20 per quintal with a maximum charge of Rs. 2000 per trip, if the store so loaded is below 8 MT and extra Rs 20 per quintal will be charged above 10 MT.
(b) Other town hiring charges are fixed as shown below Rs 2000 per trip upto 10 MT.
(c) The extent/limit of the town area is marked as: towards Kohima-Chumukedima; towards Nagarjan-Dhansiri River; towards Dillai-Nagaland Police Gate; towards Signal-Thahekhu village; towards Golagat-Nagaland Police Gate; towards Naga Cemetery-CWC godown and towards Veterinary colony-Khatkhati, Nagaland Police Gate.
(d) Rates fixed shall come into effect from October 1, 2011 and shall be reviewed/re-fixed on expiry of two years.
