Tseminyu, July 16 (MExN): The annual Tseminyu District Open Badminton Tournament 2024 was held from July 12-13.
A total of 67 players participated in the two-day event, which featured competition in the under-15 (Sub-Juniors’), Under-19 (Juniors’), Open (Men’s and Women’s), and Veteran’s (40+) categories.
Talisunep Imchen (NPS), Superintendent of Police, Tseminyu, and Jenny Kath, BDO, Tseminyu block, who were the special guest and guest of honor for the opening and closing programs respectively, motivated the players to imbibe discipline in their everyday lives. They further opined that badminton is one such sport that can mold characters.
The organiser, Tseminyu District Badminton Association (TDBA), informed that the tournament was a follow-up to the 10-day summer coaching camp held from July 1-11.
