Tsg bids farewell to outgoing DC

Tuensang, August 4 (DIPR): Departments and leaders from various organizations and Tuensang District Administration organized a farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, YL Jami IAS on August 3 at CKS hall.
Speaking at the farewell programme, the SP Tuensang Ropa M. IPS said even though she is recently posted at Tuensang, within the short period, working under the outgoing DC she has learned many new things and got experiences specially in tackling different situations in excellent tactics.
Short speeches were also delivered by Chingmak, Vice President ENPO; Kaimang, Chang President CKS; TY Sangtam, IRCS, Tuensang; N Chingmak, Dist. Hd. D. B (On behalf of DBs Tuensang); Mhomo Tungoe, EAC (On behalf of officer) and Tiakaba, Supdt (On behalf of Staff) who all thanked and praised the outgoing DC for his concerned and unceasing effort for peace and development in the area and also for his energetic administration which has enabled to thwart unwanted situations from taking place during his tenure due to his self organized decision making process. Mhomo EAC speaking on behalf of the officers said, the outgoing DC was a Consultative decision maker.
YL Jami IAS took over as DC Tuensang on May 6, 2008 and was conferred IAS in 2010. On the Merit for his outstanding performances in the service, he would be taking over the new assignment, as Secretary, Land Revenue Nagaland and will be relieved by the new DC Mhabemo Yanthan Secretary, Youth Resources Nagaland.
The outgoing DC Tuensang, YL Jami IAS in his short speech said that if there are any good things/changes made for betterment during his tenure, to which he gave credit to all the different Departments, NGOs and People of Tuensang in general for their co-operation and contributions towards its success. He also reminded that Tuensang being inhabited by multi tribe and culture, he calls for more tolerance and co-operation and understanding among the people for a brighter future of Tuensang quoted “Success is not measured by what a man accomplished, but by the opposition he has encountered and the courage with which he has maintained the struggle against over whelming odds”.
The incoming DC Tuensang, Mhabemo Yanthan while speaking in the programme, praised the outgoing DC and congratulated him on his promotion to higher status and conveyed his best wishes on his new assignment. He also called upon the people to contribute and extend their co-operation and participation during his tenure and assured them for his fullest contribution for the welfare of the people of Tuensang.
The programme was chaired by Tiameren SDO (C) Tuensang while Dr. Yanger Pastor Sangtam Baptist Church Tuensang invoked God’s blessing and benediction was pronounced by Rev. Akum Pastor, Yimchunger Baptist Church Tuensang.
