Tuensang DTF decides to ‘keep BSL-II lab functioning despite constraints’

Tuensang, May 19 (MExN): Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 during its meeting held at the DC’s Conference Hall on May 19 discussed on the functioning of BSL-II Lab and decided to “keep the BSL-II lab functioning despite constraints.”

The Tuensang DTF also agreed to financially assist in other consumable and other emergencies to keep the lab running until fund flows from the government, a DIPR report stated. 

The meeting chaired by DC and Chairman DTF Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS reviewed the ongoing lockdown updates in the District from the enforcing agencies and decided to stick with the ongoing guidelines. The Medical department updated the oxygen status in the District along with beds ready for COVID-19 hospital.

The house decided to establish COVID-19 Care Center at Government Polytechnic Sedam for COVID-19 asymptomatic patients who do not have facility for home isolation.

The random sample collection team of Tuensang is on full swing mode in all the blocks and the house decided to take up at the village level at the next phase while focusing on villages on the highways.
