Tuensang DTF meet highlights issues

Tuensang, March 1 (MExN): Tuensang district administration and Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) district level centre for women conducted Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) District Task Force (DTF) meeting on February 27 at Deputy Commissioner’s office, Tuensang.

The meeting was chaired By DC Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS with representatives of line department CMO Tuensang, SDEO Tuensang, SDPO Tuensang, nodal officer BBBP Tuensang, women welfare officer and all the four unit presidents of women’s organization, Tuensang. The meeting discussed about the upcoming activities of international women’s day and requested for an open discussion to contribute the idea to enlighten the community as a whole about women rights, gender equality in the society.

The house decided that on women’s day, rally will be conducted, followed by mega events night, where women will showcase their talents in different ways. The meet also discussed about burning issues of adolescence drop-out, their venturing out and coming back home as victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse and rape.
