The Youth Olympic organized by the Youth Department of Tuensang Town Baptist Church at Baptist Thangyen Ground in Tuensang concluded on October 5.
A three-day event which started on October 3 saw a turn up of 450 participants competing in eight sporting events and other experiential games. The participants were divided into four groups differentiated by the colours of their houses. Green House emerged as the overall champion which comprised of youths from Chaolu Sector Chaba School, NST-Home Guard, Bazar A and Bazar B sectors.
A team from District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Tuensang also gave the participants awareness on HIV and AIDS.
Later, in the closing ceremony the programme was chaired by Chipen, Sports Committee, TTBL and invocation prayer was spoken by Sosa, Health Counsellor. Rev L Noksen Ngamen, Women Secretary, Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen delivered the sermon and also gave away medals and certificates to the winners. Vote of thanks was spoken by Lashem, Associate Pastor Youth, TTBL and closing prayer was pronounced by Langa, Music Director, TTBL.
