The annual Hornbill Festival has been extended to Tuophema Tourist Village, which is located 41 km from Kohima.
Kicking off the festival this morning, various Naga indigenous game and 1st open Benchrest air rifle shooting competition were held.
Tati Group Enterprise, comprising of individuals from various background with the vision to promote the rich culture of Nagaland, and to preserve the various indigenous games and traditional fusions has organised the programmes.
In the 2nd Open Naga Indigenous Game competition Neikeduo Zumu won the muzzle loading rifle shooting; Kezhasezo Kense in the wooden G--kart; Keduozelie Kense in the stilt walking/bamboo horse; Kevilezo Kense in snail eating and Alezo Kense in catapult shooting.
Managed by the Phezou Resort Tuophema, the seven-day programme from December 3-9 offers bonfire, traditional stalls, Village walks, World Cup live screening among others.
