TVBCLN announces 6.0 Chengu Festival and Green Hero Awards 2026

The Tizü Valley Biodiversity Conservation and Livelihood Network (TVBCLN) 6.0 edition of the Chengu Festival, set for March 20 at Sukhai Village under Zunheboto District.

Speaking to The Morung Express Ivan Zhimomi, Team Lead of TVBCLN and Founder and Director of the Chengu Biodiversity Festival emphasised that the festival will feature Dharam Raj IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, who will grace the event as the special guest. 

“This vibrant celebration highlights biodiversity conservation, cultural heritage, and sustainable livelihoods in the Tizu Valley, Expect an array of activities including nature walks, traditional performances, eco-talks, and community engagements that showcase the region's rich natural and cultural treasures,” he said.

He further added that the festival will unveil the recipients of the prestigious “Green Hero Award 2026.” These awards honour diverse personalities for their outstanding contributions to biodiversity conservation and dedicated service to Nagaland. 

The recognition underscores TVBCLN's commitment to celebrating local champions driving environmental stewardship and community well-being. TVBCLN invites all nature enthusiasts, villagers from Sukhai, Ghukhuyi, Kivikhu, and beyond, along with tourism stakeholders, to join this milestone event.
