DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 18 (MExN): Two persons have been arrested in connection with the assault of a street vendor and the deliberate damaging of his food cart with a four-wheeler vehicle at Burma Camp traffic point in Dimapur, police said on Saturday.
According to Dimapur Police, a complaint regarding the incident was received at the East Police Station around 10:30 PM on October 18. Acting on the report, police apprehended four persons the same night, out of which two were arrested after their involvement in the crime was established during preliminary investigation.
Police said the incident occurred over a trivial matter at the vendor’s food cart. The vehicle used in the offence has been seized, and a case has been registered at Dimapur East Police Station. Further investigation is underway, the police added.
