Kohima, November 25 (MExN): The Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) has expressed shock over the killing incident of Constable Kevisekho Khate of 10th IRB and Lance Naik T Zewangha Vim, NAP Rangers by their colleague Zenise Yhoshu of NAP Rangers while they were on duty at Lamhainamdi village, Peren on November 22 night.
Through a press release, WAYO has appealed to the Government to provide necessary relieves to both the families at the earliest. The organisation has learnt that both the deceased were the only bread earner of their families, WAYO President, Neituolie Peseyie and General Secretary, Kevirhebi Mor stated in the press release. It also appeal to the State Government that since both the deceased died in the line of duty, a member from each family may be appointed on compassionate ground.
The organisation has appealed to the State Government to investigate the matter thoroughly and “bring out the exact cause as to why a member of WAYO has been mercilessly murdered by a Jawan who has been doing the same duty.” It also informed the authorities that it shall not rest till the exact cause of the crime is made known to them.
Further, it appealed to the authorities to award befitting punishment to the perpetrator of such heinous crime without wastage of time which will be in the interest of all parties concerned.
