The main objective of the programme was to inform senior citizens about the modern and digital banking services provided by the bank and to create awareness about their benefits and usage.

During the programme, the Resource Head provided detailed information about the new pension schemes introduced by the bank. At present, two special accounts are available for pensioners — UCO Asha Prime Account and UCO Asha Select Account. Details were shared on the facilities, special benefits, additional services and concessions offered to senior citizens under these accounts.

The Zonal Head explained the benefits of digital banking services, including mobile banking, internet banking, secure transactions and simplified payment processes, which help make day-to-day banking activities more convenient and faster. Pensioner customers can submit their Life Certificate online. For services such as cash withdrawal and deposit, mini statements and cheque collection, doorstep banking facilities are available.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy General Manager from the Head Office said senior citizen customers are extremely important for the bank and described them as brand ambassadors. He said their experience is the bank’s strength and that, as informal representatives, they play a vital role in bringing in new customers and contributing to the bank’s continuous progress.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the pensioners present. Feedback related to banking services was obtained from them, and the bank assured customers of its continued commitment to their service, safety and convenience.
