Mon, August 16 (MExN): UCO Bank's Managing Director & CEO Ashwani Kumar virtually inaugurated a new branch in Mon, Nagaland on August 14.
Kumar stated the bank's commitment to delivering quality customer service in the Mon region, which falls under UCO Bank's Jorhat Zone. He assured customers would receive all modern banking facilities available elsewhere.
This marks the 58th branch in Jorhat Zone.
As of June 2025 quarter, the bank operates 3,305 domestic branches, two overseas branches (Hong Kong and Singapore) and one representative office in Iran. The new branch will provide modern banking services to local residents, advancing the government's financial inclusion agenda.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Zonal Manager Narendra Pratap Singh, Chief Manager Nishant, Mon Deputy Commissioner Wennyui Konyak, ADC Pakon Phon, along with local community leaders, church representatives and bank officials including Branch Manager Seikholen Touthang.
