Dimapur, June 17 (MExN): The venue for the UGC- NET Exam both for JRF and Lectureship under Nagaland University Center Code No. 64 will be Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung Town, a four storied building located at Salangtem Ward in Mokokchung as notified earlier.
It is a prestigious School in Nagaland affiliated to ICSE and ISC, New Delhi. The venue is located in the heart of Mokokchung town between Power House and Edith Douglas School in Salangtem Ward, Mokokchung town. The date of Examination and time will remain the same as fixed by UGC i.e. on 26th June (Sunday) 2011 and time scheduled will be as follows: Paper I and Paper II are to be held in the forenoon session from 9:30 a.m to 10:45 a. m. & 10:45 a.m to 12.00 noon respectively and Paper III in the afternoon session from 1:30 p.m to 4.p.m. Candidates are advised to produce their Admission Card without which they will not be allowed to enter into the Exam Hall, informed the Co-ordinator of UGC- NET Exams Center Code No. 64, Prof. A. Lanunungsang in a press note.
The note stated that the outstation candidates needing accommodation will have to make their own arrangement as notified earlier. However, accommodation will be arranged in several hostels nearby the venue of test. Therefore, they should directly contact the hostel providers on or before June 20. Mobile numbers and location of the Hostels are given below.
Further, it stated that Mokokchung is well connected by road and therefore, outstation candidates can reach Mokokchung conveniently by NST/private buses/taxi services directly from any part of the State of Nagaland. Buses/taxi services are available in Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Mariani and Jorhat etc leading to Mokokchung town. Students coming from nearby districts/places can come and go back on the same day after the Test is over. Taxi services from station to venue of Test/hostel will be available. NU will provide Bus services on June 26 (morning and evening) from Police Station to the venue of test and from the venue of test to Police Station in the evening every after an interval of 15 minutes beginning from 7: 30 am to 9 am and 3:30 to 4: 45 pm
Students coming in groups from different district headquarters are advised to make advance booking in NST or Private Buses on or before 23rd June, 2011 for their comfort journey.
