Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The UGN/NNC (PB) issued a rebuttal against what it called “baseless and misleading” claims of a merger with the Naga Unification, asserting that such allegations are intended to “confuse the Naga public.”
In a statement, UGN/NNC (PB) condemned the claims made by Kiutsangkiung and Kakuto Assumi, for allegedly projecting themselves as its officials despite being “formally relieved of all responsibilities and positions.”
The statement clarified that Kiutsangkiung, who had served as in-term president from July 13, 2024, to August 20, 2025, and Kakuto Assumi, who was Kilo Kilonser in-charge from June 6, 2023, to January 1, 2024, were discharged from active service in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
“Those individuals have no authority whatsoever to represent or act in the name of UGN/NNC (PB). Any claims made by them stand 'Null and void',” the MIP said.
The group affirmed that its entire structure remains “intact and fully functional” under the leadership of President Akaho Swu and Ato Kilonser Nupavi Achumi.
It urged the Naga public not to be swayed by “false propaganda spread by disgruntled individuals.”
