UIDAI, Guwahati conducted a training session on the newly launched Universal Client software for Aadhaar enrolment and update in Dimapur on August 27.

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The Regional Office of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Guwahati, on Wednesday conducted a training session in Dimapur on the newly launched Universal Client software for Aadhaar enrolment and update.
The session, held at the Town Hall, was organised for officials and operators from Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. Over 150 government officials, supervisors, master trainers and Aadhaar operators attended the programme.
UIDAI officials said the Universal Client, a fully online Aadhaar enrolment software, offers significant improvements in usability and speed, enabling operators and supervisors to carry out enrolment and updates more efficiently.
The training also stressed the importance of the Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) of children between the ages of 5–7 years and 15–17 years. The process involves updating a child’s photograph, fingerprints and iris scans. Officials said timely updates ensure accuracy of data and seamless use of Aadhaar for school admissions, entrance examinations, scholarships and other services.
