
BJP 21 Tuli Mandal responds to RPP statement
Mokokchung, August 31 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party 21 Tuli Mandal on Tuesday expressed surprise to learn that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India (GoI) had sanctioned Rs 2 crore during financial year 2019-2020 for setting up of Organic Food Processing Plant at Tuli, Mokokchung as per the Rising Peoples’ Party (RPP) statement.
Earlier, the RPP on August 27, had issued a list of some projects sanctioned and amount released by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs during 2019-20; and sought a ‘people’s report’ on anomalies in implementation of the projects.
While acknowledging the GoI for undertaking such initiative, it stated that the BJP 21 Tuli Mandal office is yet to identify the location or the beneficiary to whom the project has been allotted.
“However, it is our belief that the project will be commenced very soon by the beneficiary,” it added.
In this regard, the BJP 21 Tuli Mandal appealed the concerned contractor/s to immediately commence building the infrastructure and necessary developmental works be initiated so as to complete the project within stipulated time frame.
“The BJP 21 Tuli Mandal will not remain a mere spectator but will apply every available option to see that the project is completed within the stipulated period so as the targeted population in the area is thereby benefitted,” Nuklutemjen, President, BJP 21 Tuli Mandal stated in a press release on August 31.
