Unidentified body dumped in Sovima, SVC condemns

Chümoukedima, December 6 (MExN): The dead body of an unidentified person was allegedly dumped in Sovima village jurisdiction on the night of December 5.

Meanwhile, denouncing the action, the Sovima Village Council (SVC) said that the action was an “outrageous violation of the sanctity and honour of any Naga village, and needs to be condemned by every right-thinking citizen.”

“While we condemn the most heinous crime of the murder, we view the profane act of disposing the corpse in our village with utter resentment, indignation and disgust,” added the SVC in a press release issued by its Council Secretary Ruokuosilie Rupreo.

However, the SVC expressed its full confidence that the law enforcing agencies would be able to identify the perpetrators and bring them to book at the earliest.

“We also convey our heartfelt condolences to the family members of the deceased,” it added.
