Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): An unidentified male body was discovered near a roadside opposite Gurudwara in Dimapur on Sunday evening, police said.
According to a press release by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur, the Sub-Urban Police Station received information about the body at around 7:40 PM.
Accordingly, on receiving the information, the duty party rushed to the place of occurrence. Inquest was conducted over the dead body, Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur stated.
No visible injury marks were found on the deceased, and foul play is not suspected. Preliminary investigation revealed that the man was homeless and belonged to the Hindu community.
After completing legal formalities, the body was moved to the District Hospital Morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
