Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): An unidentified male body was found lying below the flyover bridge near the Traffic Control Office in Dimapur on February 17, police said.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) and PRO, Dimapur, telephonic information was received from Traffic Control, Dimapur, at around 3 pm regarding the body of a non-local male.
On receipt of the information, a police team rushed to the spot and found the body of a man aged approximately 55–60 years leaning against a pillar beneath the flyover bridge.
An inquest was conducted at the scene, and the suspected cause of death was attributed to starvation and illness.
After completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
