Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): An unidentified male body was recovered from the Zubza River near Zhekishe village on August 6, with the Dimapur Police suspecting murder.
A press release issued by the Dimapur Police PRO informed that the body was found floating in the river when a police team rushed to the location following information.
The cause of death is suspected to be murder based on the examination conducted on the body, it said.
After completing all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification, it added.
The Dimapur Police further appealed to the public that any claimant, relative, or friend of the deceased may contact the Officer-in-Charge, Niuland Police Station, Dimapur, at 7085055025 for further course of action.
