Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): An unidentified man, believed to be around 40–45 years of age, was found lying dead near KM 259/8–259/9 in the vicinity of Sam Railway Bazaar on December 16 at around 7:45 am.
According to Dimapur Police, the body was discovered when a police team rushed to the spot following verbal information received an individual concerning the matter.
Preliminary inquiry suggested that the death was suspected to be due to illness, it said.
After completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification, it added.
The police described the deceased as having a dark complexion and was wearing a white trouser and a dark long pant at the time he was found. He is suspected to be Nepali, it added.
