Union Finance Ministry official inspects key projects in Kohima

Kohima, April 28 (MExN): Dr Sajjan Singh Yadav, Special Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance, inspected several major project sites in Kohima on April 28 during the second day of his visit to Nagaland.

During the visit, he reviewed projects being implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme, including the High Court complex at Meriema, the Working Women’s Hostel at Kigwema, and the Main Arena at Kisama Heritage Village, which is partly funded under the scheme.

He also visited the Kohima War Cemetery.

Dr Yadav was accompanied by Nagaland Finance Commissioner, Kesonyü Yhome and senior officials from the State Finance Department and other project-implementing departments.

Earlier, on April 27, Dr Yadav attended a dinner and interaction programme at Hotel Vivor, where he expressed gratitude and nostalgia during his second visit to Nagaland after nearly three decades, the State DIPR reported. 

He also appreciated a cultural performance by the Ülikhrei Folk Group, stating that it brought back memories of his tenure as Deputy Commissioner in Arunachal Pradesh, it added.
