Union Minister apprised on ongoing construction of New High Court Complex

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN): The Parliamentary Secretary of Nagaland for Law and Justice, Er Picto Shohe called on the Union Minister for Law and Justice at his Resident office New Delhi on January 22 and discussed about the ongoing construction of New High Court Complex at Kohima.  

During the meeting, the Parliamentary Secretary highlighted the Departmental activities in the state. He pointed out that proper court building and staff quarters are needed in all the 11 (eleven Districts) in the State of Nagaland. The Parliamentary Secretary appealed to the Union Minister to look into the proposal which was submitted in the ministry and to sanction funds for construction of High Court and District Courts and various Central Schemes in the state at the earliest.  

The Union Minister of Law and Justice, DV Sadananda Gowda, patiently heard the requests of the Parliamentary Secretary and assured that the proposals would be duly considered and, he would personally appraise the matter to the Union Finance Minister for sanction and provide special/funding provision for the State of Nagaland. The Union Minister further assured to extend all possible assistance from his Ministry. Er. Picto Shohe, also extended invitation to the Union Minister of Law and Justice to visit the State.
